DURHAM, NC – Diagnostics company bioMérieux Inc. is expanding its Durham County facility in a move that will create 44 jobs over the next three years.
The company is investing $48.3 million in the expansion.
Salaries will vary for the new positions, but an average annual payroll for the jobs will be $2.2 million.
The project is supported by a performance-based grant from the One North Carolina Fund of up to $200,000, contingent upon proof of job creation and receipt of a local funding match.
The French company, which had $2 billion in revenue for 2012, manufactures patient health diagnostics products.
The announcement was made by Gov. Pat McCrory and Commerce Secretary Sharon Decker.
