ATLANTA, GA – Several Atlanta companies have been cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to introduce new medical devices.
Atlanta-based Carestream Dental LLC is going to launch an orthodontic imaging software. The software is for orthodontists, oral surgeons and their clinical staffs to store and organize images, including digital photographs and x-rays.
Woodstock-based NeoMed Inc. plans to introduce a Neomed Oral/Enteral Syringe. The syringe is specifically designed to administer liquids to neonatal and small pediatric patients.
Kennesaw-based Dornier Medtech America Inc. is rolling out its Gemini Lithotripter. The device is used to crush urinary tract stones with shock waves, and is a modification of another lithotripter made by Dornier.
All of the devices were cleared by the FDA in September.
